Transfer the accountability and ownership to your students by giving them their own personal word wall books. This is a great way to supplement your pre-existing classroom word wall. Students can record the words on their own, track their own vocabulary, and add to it on their own. Whether it be new lesson vocabulary or words they identify in a text, this is a great way for them to take ownership over their own development and learning! There is a clear box for each starting letter as well as some blank spaces for flexibility!

Separated into four color-coded sections, this inventory looks into academics, morals, social components, and future potential. Presented in a likert scale format, students will choose from four responses for each prompt that is either a smiley face, frowning face, straight face or a question mark. This is a great way to promote ownership over strengths and weaknesses as well as offer valuable insight into your students on the front end. As we all know, independent reading at home has a huge impact on students' success in the classroom. Building stamina in our children while they read independently is extremely important. This simple bar graph template provides a great tracking system for the minutes of independnet reading per night. There are 15 columns for potential bars to track anywhere from one to thirty five minutes of reading. Students and parents are therefore able to track and take ownership over this growth and development. It also serves as a great resouces of documentation. Check out this multipurpose organizer that has a fram at the top for students to place a visual and then lines down below for them to write. This can be a great way to activate students' prior knowledge about a topic in which they draw a memory or something they think of related to the topic, and then describe what they have drawn. By default, this gives students variety in the format they present their knowledge. It can alos be used for homework, an exit ticket, end of unit summary and so much more. It comes in four different formats for differentiation to different grade levels or ability levels!

The first component has students make a promise for what they are going to do if someone hurts their feeling. The second part prompts them to think through the importance of talking about their feelings. This is heavily aligned to Conscious Discipline and communicating feelings. The third component has student think through why they know they are great. Ending with a signature, this is a great way to be proactive for problem solving behaviors and feelings!

Praising the positive and focusing on the students doing the right thing is aligned to the PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Support). This is a great way to allow those students who often slip through the cracks for doing the right thing, receive the recognition they deserve. Formatted very similar to the tradition behavior report, there is a section for the location, character trait that was identified such as grit, honesty, humility, teamwork and much more. There is a section for the teacher comments, and then an administrators comments. This can then be sent home for parents to see the great things their child has done.
